DESCRIPTION
The vendor will provide fabrication and delivery services for thirty large-scale, parkway-inspired mileposts. Eligible providers may include fabricators, artists, manufacturers, or design-build vendors with the capability to produce the installations.
The mileposts are intended to encourage tourism in the parkway’s gateway communities and create a common, attractive public feature connecting those communities. Each installation will provide an opportunity for communities to highlight and celebrate their local natural and cultural heritage while emphasizing the relationship between the parkway, its visitors, and surrounding gateway communities.
The project will also highlight Appalachian creativity and identity and create interactive visitor experiences. Questions must be submitted by August 28, 2026, and proposals are due September 18, 2026.
