DESCRIPTION

The procuring organization is seeking a vendor to provide a fully realized, off-the-shelf Faculty Information System (FIS) supporting faculty activity reporting, annual reviews, faculty lifecycle management, reporting, and faculty action workflows. The system should support electronic dossiers for review, promotion, and tenure, as well as leave requests, emeriti requests, and related faculty processes.

The system must integrate with Workday to manage academic appointment data, including school or college, appointment status, title, and term, and to synchronize reportable employment-related profile data such as race or ethnicity, gender, faculty rank, and email address. It should also generate, enable, or disable user profiles based on job type and employment status. Additional requirements include importing and maintaining faculty contract awards and grant data from sponsored funding databases, identifying agencies at proposal and award stages, and importing information from indexing, bibliographic, citation, publication, and media-mention services.

The solution should provide a user-friendly interface for all user types, calendar views of upcoming tasks, mobile accessibility for Android and iOS, and detailed tracking of faculty lifecycle information, including rank, title, school, current and historical appointments, named chairs, eligibility for agency programs, and promotion eligibility. Lifecycle tracking must communicate directly with workflow outcomes and serve as a source for workflow inputs. The contract period will be three years, and a pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 28, 2026.
