Web Application Modernization and Data Repository Integration

The selected vendor will provide services to assess, modernize, enhance, and support the integration of two web applications, with an emphasis on improving scalability, maintainability, security, usability, and the long-term sustainability of the public-facing application. The scope also includes evaluating and potentially implementing a migration from an AWS-hosted infrastructure to an internally managed on-premise solution, with the goal of optimizing system performance and control.

Key objectives are to improve overall usability, accessibility, and user experience, as well as enhance the development, testing, and deployment workflows. The vendor will be responsible for developing both public-facing and internal reporting capabilities, along with public data portals connected to relevant datasets. This includes the creation of user-friendly dataset search, export, and reporting tools, and the provision of GIS-enabled data exploration features, dashboards, and API-based integration with internal and external systems, ensuring a mobile-friendly and responsive design throughout.

In addition, the project requires the establishment of a comprehensive long-term support and maintenance strategy, ensuring the seamless operation and future-proofing of the applications.
