Water Treatment Plant Planning and Design Services

A government authority in El Paso, Texas seeks experienced engineering consulting firms to provide comprehensive planning, design, and bid services for a new surface water treatment plant. The scope of work includes site improvements such as grading, drainage, access, yard piping, and utilities, as well as the development of a raw water intake canal and pre-sedimentation basins.

Key project elements encompass the design of rapid mix and flocculation/sedimentation basins, ozonation systems (including generation, contactors, off-gas destruction, and safety mechanisms), biologically active filtration, chlorine contact basins, and chemical storage and feed facilities. Additional components include finished water storage, high-service pumping, mechanical and electrical systems (medium and low voltage distribution with standby power), and advanced instrumentation and control systems, including SCADA integration.

The project also requires designs for residuals handling and disposal systems as well as associated transmission, tie-ins, and system integration improvements.
