DESCRIPTION

The procuring organization seeks a vendor to provide street signs and related hardware supplies. Sign blanks must be degreased, etched, and Alodine coated in accordance with MIL-C-5541B, then packaged to protect them from dust and moisture and prepared for application of paint or reflective sheeting.

Signs must be manufactured from 5052-H38 alloy or better, conforming to ASTM B-209-73 or the latest applicable revision. Unless otherwise specified, each sign must include standard 3/8-inch hole locations compatible with 1 3/4-inch square sign posts and standard corner radii.

Required reflective sheeting may include Type XI super-high-intensity retro-reflective sheeting, with performance determined by specified RA values at 0.2-, 0.5-, and 1.0-degree observation angles. Type IV sheeting must be high-intensity prismatic retro-reflective material meeting or exceeding 3M Scotchlite High Intensity Grade 3930 Series requirements with 800 Series Process Inks.
