DESCRIPTION


The city seeks a qualified vendor to provide state legislative representation services that supplement its legislative advocacy efforts and advance and protect its interests before the state government. The selected firm will advocate for municipal authority as established by the constitution, city charter, local ordinances, and voter-approved initiatives, while supporting the city’s ability to maintain a fiscally sound organization and deliver services to residents.

The vendor will help prepare for and support growth through state investments and policies that strengthen the local economy, promote housing stability and resident options, develop an educated and trained workforce, and improve residents’ quality of life. Services will include representing and advocating for the city before the state legislature, during specially called legislative sessions, and throughout interim periods; developing strategies to secure support for the city’s legislative program and initiatives; and providing timely legislative and regulatory updates.
