DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking a vendor to design, build, integrate, install, and commission an automated robotic cell for receiving, identifying, warehousing, inventorying, picking, packing, and shipping individual parts.

The robotic cell must accept individual parts from an operator through a safe-access parts window and palletized orders delivered by an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR). The project will use provided FANUC M-20iB/25 robots, Güdel 3-meter rails on 2-foot risers, Allen-Bradley GuardLogix safety-rated controls, Keyence safety devices, Rockwell GuardLink safety latches, and GuardLink light stacks. The preferred AMR is the OTTO 600 with liftable carts, with the OTTO 100 as an alternative; two to four carts are anticipated.

The system must include an interlocked double-door box with an AI camera for part identification and a powered feed conveyor, custom end-of-arm tooling with integrated vision, a conveyor approximately 20 inches wide with two independently controlled sections, an indexing surface approximately 3 feet in diameter, stackable plastic totes, slanted wire shelving with removable bins, and unpacking, packing, box-storage, and defect-staging tables.
