Asset Management Service

The government authority in Comox, British Columbia seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive asset management services. The selected provider will be responsible for establishing an asset management program that sets out clear policies, procedures, and frameworks, supporting the adoption of consistent and risk-informed asset management practices. Building the internal capacity of staff to effectively implement, maintain, and enhance these practices over time is a key component.

Key deliverables include updating the current asset management policy and strategy, revising these to reflect best practices, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and setting a strategic roadmap for maturity. The service provider is also expected to develop standardized condition assessment protocols, comprehensive data governance and asset management procedures, and a final asset management plan endorsed by council. Additionally, the vendor will create an annual asset management performance reporting framework, with relevant key performance measures and public-facing indicators.

The aim is to provide a structured and data-driven approach to decision-making, ensuring data integrity, security, and strategic planning across the entire asset lifecycle for the Town of Comox.
