The government authority in Salem, Oregon seeks a vendor to deliver youth suicide intervention and prevention coordination and evaluation services. The initiative aims to establish a comprehensive framework combining public health and behavioral health strategies for suicide prevention among youth.

The vendor will be responsible for creating a hub to connect organizations and individuals working on culturally specific suicide prevention programming, particularly with a focus on Latine and Spanish language communities. This hub will facilitate shared learning, discussion of implementation barriers, and resource sharing.

A central aspect of the project is to increase and strengthen the evidence base and research for culturally specific programming. The vendor will lead data collection and evaluation activities that account for cultural nuances and utilize community-based participatory approaches, including qualitative methods such as storytelling, interviews, and focus groups, emphasizing the lived experiences of culturally diverse youth.

Additionally, the selected entity will act as a liaison between the Latine suicide prevention learning community and other related partners, supporting ongoing coordination and collaboration to advance suicide prevention efforts.
