DESCRIPTION

A vendor is sought to provide an online program software that offers writing assistance and antiplagiarism features for use by teachers and students. The platform should include writing lessons and activities aligned to state writing standards, covering explanatory/informational, argumentative, and narrative writing. The system must create an adaptive learning environment, assessing student writing skills, assigning relevant lessons, and monitoring proficiency in areas such as grammar, usage, style, spelling, and mechanics.

Additional necessary functions include offering detailed feedback on writing assignments to improve students' writing quality, supporting instructional interventions, and facilitating cross-curricular writing skills for all learners, including English Language Learners. The program should ease the grading and feedback workload for teachers regarding common errors and provide tools for identifying and addressing writing intervention strategies.

The software must enable teachers to give specific feedback related to academic integrity, originality, and paraphrasing, as well as empower students to check their own work for originality. These features aim to improve current coursework outcomes and prepare students for college and careers. The contract period for this procurement is one year.
