DESCRIPTION

The City seeks a third-party vendor to provide comprehensive workman's compensation claims administration services. As a self-insured local government entity, the City does not have the internal resources to manage claims and requires a specialized third-party administrator (TPA) to assume this role. Immediate takeover and administration of approximately fifty existing claims, each at varying stages, is required.

The selected TPA must deliver fast response times, comply with all state requirements, and provide access to a network of preidentified vendors and providers. The administrator should leverage technology for user-friendly processes and platforms, offering both on-demand and scheduled reporting. A designated team of the same adjusters must be assigned to meet monthly with the City to review open claims, and a single account representative must be available for ongoing support and questions.

Additional requirements include comprehensive management of all Medicare and Medicaid reporting steps and the implementation of a robust Risk Management Information System (RMIS) that supports claims and financial tracking, document storage, standard and custom reporting, and role-based access controls. The administrator must also support data breach notification obligations related to claims data.
