Florida Agency For Health Care Administration
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Florida is seeking a vendor to provide workforce development services targeted at rural communities facing shortages of clinicians, allied health professionals, and direct care workers. These shortages stem from factors such as geographic isolation, limited training opportunities, and Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designations across various healthcare disciplines.
The Workforce Development Initiative adopts a two-pathway approach in alignment with the Clinical Training Investment Opportunity (CTIO) funding structure. Key components include curriculum development and program expansion in health sciences, allied health, and direct care fields within rural high schools and community colleges. The initiative also aims to strengthen Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways aligned with rural healthcare employment requirements, offering dual enrollment and accelerated programs.
Additionally, the program seeks to foster partnerships between educational institutions and rural health providers to facilitate clinical shadowing, practicum experiences, hands-on skills training, and competency-based learning opportunities. The contract for these services will be for a one-year term.
