DESCRIPTION


The county is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive workers compensation third party claims administration services. Key responsibilities include taking recorded statements from claimants, making contact with the treating physician within 24 hours, and preparing narrative summaries for major claims every three months. The selected vendor must ensure medical bills are reduced to the State of Florida's fee schedule and manage all subrogation and Second Injury Fund activities.

Additional requirements include the preparation of all State-mandated reports, prompt notification of all potential excess claims to the insurer(s), and participation in quarterly meetings with the county. The vendor must also provide detailed monthly loss reports to both the county and its consultant. The initial contract term is for one year.
