The selected vendor will provide comprehensive workers compensation insurance services. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed medical insurance files for each covered employee, handling requests for claim reimbursements, tracking receipts and proof of paid claims, and managing an accounting of paid benefits with real-time tracking of balances for each employee's annual reimbursement limit.
The contractor is required to supply the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with all necessary claim forms for each benefit type under the contract, including a list of required supporting documents and clear filing instructions. All medical claims must be submitted directly to the COR, who will transmit them to the contractor within two business days.
Upon receiving claims, the contractor must date stamp and screen each submission on the day of receipt, promptly notifying employees (with a copy to the COR) regarding missing documentation or information within two business days. Claim settlements will be issued by check to employees, accompanied by a detailed explanation of the reimbursed amount and any applied deductions.
