DESCRIPTION

The selected vendor will develop a comprehensive work program and public engagement strategy to guide a future citywide historic resource survey. This will involve researching and reporting on 5–10 comparable models of citywide or regional surveys, with analysis focused on methodologies, funding, and public engagement best practices.

A phased implementation framework will be created, offering strategic recommendations for dividing the citywide survey into manageable phases, ensuring continuity and allowing for scalability as needed. The vendor will identify multiple funding strategies to support multi-year efforts, accommodating both pilot and citywide initiatives.

A robust public engagement strategy is to be developed, featuring a toolkit with diverse methods such as pop-up events, neighborhood meetings, interactive mapping tools, oral history collection, and collaborations with community organizations. Sample materials—including draft survey questions, digital tool mockups, and sample graphics—are to be provided, and the use of GIS dashboards or online storytelling platforms explored.

The work includes preparing quarterly progress reports for the agency and creating highly visual summary presentations and documents highlighting project milestones and findings.
