DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Massachusetts seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive wide area network (WAN) and internet services. The selected provider must deliver internet access that connects the agency's WAN to the internet at a minimum speed of 400 Mbps.

The contract also requires the implementation of basic firewall protection at each ISP service point. This firewall must block access to all internet sites unless they have been pre-approved by the agency, allow for different filtering profiles based on user groups through integration with Active Directory or RADIUS server, and operate without introducing noticeable latency to web traffic.

WAN services must be delivered as symmetrical, point-to-point layer 2 connections, supporting both point-to-point and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations. For multipoint-to-multipoint, the agency requires a layer 2 service that interconnects all designated sites within a single broadcast domain.
