DESCRIPTION

The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive upgrade of an existing WordPress website to the latest stable version. The project begins with a full technical assessment, covering the current WordPress version, all installed plugins and themes, PHP version and modules, Linux server environment, database configuration, as well as identifying compatibility issues and potential risks. An upgrade plan and rollback strategy must be developed to ensure a smooth transition.

The vendor is responsible for preparing a staging environment that accurately mirrors the live site, upgrading the PHP version if necessary, and installing all required server modules and PHP extensions. The WordPress core will be upgraded to the latest version, with careful maintenance of configuration files and adoption of recommended security best practices. Additionally, all existing plugins and themes must be updated to their latest compatible releases, and any deprecated or unsupported plugins should be replaced with approved alternatives.
