The State of Michigan is seeking experienced web development firms to undertake a comprehensive redesign and modernization of its public website. The project involves end-to-end services including design, development, hosting, migration, thorough testing, launch, and ongoing accessibility compliance. The selected vendor will be responsible for creating a website that is mobile responsive, user friendly, and fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level standards.
Scope of work includes updating site structure and navigation, developing WCAG-compliant design mockups, and recommending improvements during content migration. The new website should integrate features such as online forms, document libraries, and project updates, enhancing both functionality and accessibility. Comprehensive performance, security, and cross-browser/device testing will be required prior to launch.
Additionally, the vendor will provide staff training on maintaining accessible content, oversee the website launch, monitor for issues, and deliver prompt resolution. Ongoing hosting and maintenance services are also expected to ensure continued optimal site performance and accessibility compliance.
