The agency is seeking a vendor to redesign, develop, host, maintain, and migrate two official websites utilizing a content management system (CMS). The goal is to modernize the websites to better serve the public while supporting the organization's mission through improved usability and accessibility.
The project requires the implementation of an open-source or widely adopted CMS platform such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla. The scope includes integrating social media optimization features, such as open graph and Twitter cards metadata, to enhance the consistency of shared content across social platforms. The vendor must deliver a modern, mobile-responsive, and ADA/WCAG-compliant website that emphasizes user experience and meets accessibility standards at WCAG 2.1 AA level or higher.
The CMS should empower non-technical staff to edit and publish content, making all station metadata, amenities, photos, and links easily manageable. Integration with General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) data feeds is required to provide real-time scheduling, alerts, and updates. The contract will span three years, with a deadline for questions set for April 17, 2026.
