DESCRIPTION

The County seeks a vendor to redesign and develop its website with a focus on ADA compliance, usability, and modern design principles utilizing a content management system (CMS). The objective is to create a user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and accessible website that enhances public access to information and services. The new site should offer improved navigation, content organization, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems and online services.

The project scope includes a discovery and planning phase, where the vendor will review the current website architecture, analytics, and content, and develop a site map and content strategy. The design phase requires creation of wireframes and mockups, delivering a modern, visually appealing, and consistent design according to County branding, with iterations based on stakeholder feedback.

During development, the selected vendor will build the site on a secure, scalable CMS platform, implement ADA-compliant features, optimize for speed, SEO, and mobile performance, and migrate or assist with content migration. Integration of third-party tools or APIs and social media feeds (Facebook, with optional additional links) is also required.

The vendor will conduct automated and manual accessibility testing, provide an accessibility statement, cross-browser and cross-device testing, assist with deployment and DNS updates, and offer 30–90 days of post-launch support to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing website accessibility.
