A Michigan-based organization is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive website services, including redesign, development, hosting, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing support, utilizing a modern content management system (CMS). The primary goal is to create a new website that more effectively reflects the organization's brand identity, elevates the user experience, and enhances functionality. The project emphasizes a mobile-first, user-centered design, making the site easy to navigate and scalable across a variety of devices—particularly smartphones.
The redesigned website must meet ADA and WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility standards, ensuring inclusivity for all users. It should be flexible, allowing for the creation of new pages or landing pages without compromising the site's integrity. Integrated features will include structured content types, content workflows, permissions, and seamless connections with real-time data sources, Token Transit, Mailchimp, ERP systems, and analytics tools. The homepage will be organized around key rider tasks such as trip planning, fare payment, and accessing real-time updates. Additional features will comprise actionable alerts and notifications (via email, SMS, or push), a prebuilt trip planner, real-time tracking, service alerts, and analytics to track user engagement with trip planning and other functions.
The vendor will be responsible for supporting the site post-launch to ensure ongoing maintenance and timely adjustments as needed. The resulting website should enable customers to more easily find the information they need, thereby reducing calls to customer service. The contract for these services is set for two years.
