The Corporation Of The Municipality Of Port Hope
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The municipality seeks a vendor to redesign and implement an updated public-facing website utilizing a Content Management System (CMS). This website will serve as the primary information portal for residents, businesses, and tourists, featuring information on events, programs, and municipal services. The selected vendor will develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, incorporating research and internal feedback, to guide all project phases. User experience, effective navigation, and a robust content strategy are top priorities.
The design process will include the creation of a mock-up in line with Port Hope’s brand standards, alongside a visual style guide detailing various design features, such as links, buttons, navigation tabs, accordions, emphasis blocks, image sizing, and more. Data-informed practices, including usability testing and best practices in user experience and user interface design, will guide development. The scope includes migrating all existing website pages, documents, forms, media, and calendar listings from both prior and upcoming months, ensuring accessible online applications and fillable forms.
The new site will be based on secure, protected architecture, supporting web and mobile applications with online payment, service capabilities, and an AI-powered customer service chatbot. Administration of the website will rely on centralized approvals and user-based permissions, including workflow notification systems. Key features include automatic sitemap generation, friendly URLs, image resizing with search metadata, and interactive forms. Long-term CMS maintenance is expected without costly functional upgrades. The contract duration is one year.
