Website Hosting, Maintenance, Configuration and Support Services

The State of Maryland is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive website hosting, maintenance, configuration, and support services. The scope of work includes hosting the website on secure, enterprise-grade servers within dual environments for development and production, as well as maintaining a separate staging and QA environment to test updates prior to deployment.

Responsibilities include regular website and database server monitoring, performance management, and ensuring high availability and optimal page load times. The vendor will manage all aspects of content and design updates, maintain and tune website search functionality using Solr or an equivalent solution, and handle regular hardware and software updates—including Drupal security updates for modules, themes, and other site components. Code management will utilize version control with a documented deployment workflow.

Additional requirements involve performance reporting (including uptime and analytics), integration of live chat and email webforms, Google Analytics, ongoing Drupal upgrade support, and ensuring that all software updates are thoroughly tested in a staging environment prior to release. The site features a custom theme and makes use of various contributed and custom Drupal modules, with Cloudflare serving as the content delivery network.
