A municipal agency in Massachusetts is seeking a qualified partner to design, implement, host, and provide ongoing support for a new municipal website. The project requires a browser-based content management system (CMS) that is accessible without the need for special software. Key features should include intuitive WYSIWYG editing tools, role-based staff permissions, version history with rollback capabilities, as well as the ability to link seamlessly to third-party applications and various government or commercial websites.
The proposed website must adhere to full ADA and WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards, and WCAG 3.0 compliance is also expected if released prior to project completion. A zero-error accessibility report is required when evaluated by Audio Eye, User Way, or similar tools. The platform should provide automated accessibility checking within the CMS interface, support mobile-responsive design for all device types, offer accessible website-usage metrics, and include the ability to embed read-only GIS data such as property maps and layered infrastructure data. The site should promote content consistency across municipal departments through structured templates. The initial contract is for a one-year term.
