Key responsibilities include maintaining modern online functionality such as updating content, managing photos and forms, providing an effective search feature, easy-to-navigate menus, a calendar of events, and posting timely news updates. The consultant will also supply on-demand website usage reports and employ robust security measures to protect against unauthorized access, hacking, spyware, cookies, and pop-ups.

Additional tasks include keeping a complete and up-to-date backup of the website on a remote server, ensuring reliable hosting and backup services, providing technical troubleshooting support to township staff, and accommodating content changes as needed. The provider must maintain a high level of website availability (99% uptime) and sufficient bandwidth to handle peak traffic, limiting downtime to no more than 60 minutes per month.
