The State of Tennessee is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive website design, development, and management services utilizing a content management system (CMS). The selected provider will ensure websites remain accurate, user-friendly, compliant with regulations, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. Responsibilities include recommending CMS improvements, guaranteeing compatibility with key third-party integrations, supporting high-traffic and multimedia requirements, and ensuring adherence to ADA compliance standards.
Ongoing support will be delivered through a monthly retainer for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, technical support, and timely resolution of website-related issues such as broken links, security alerts, content errors, and performance disruptions. The vendor will conduct monthly performance assessments covering speed, uptime, navigation, security, SEO, and overall functionality.
Additional tasks include offering expert guidance on user experience (UX), mobile optimization, and content strategy; maintaining security measures such as malware protection and encryption; assisting with planned redesigns and the creation of new web pages or microsites; and developing documentation, tutorials, and staff training as CMS features evolve. The provider will also manage vendor communications, platform updates, and integration of third-party services—including language translation, mapping, parking systems, accessibility tools, and external data feeds—ensuring seamless operation across all features.
