The Department of Forest Conservation in Sri Lanka is seeking a qualified vendor to modernize its digital presence and visitor services through the design and development of a new website and integrated e-ticketing system.
The project involves creating a public-facing website to improve communication and accessibility for visitors. In addition, the vendor will develop a comprehensive ticketing and visitor management platform. This platform should include a visitor portal with features for browsing locations, purchasing entrance tickets, making reservations, and processing online payments. An administrative portal is also required, enabling authorized staff to manage visitors, oversee reservations, and maintain revenue records efficiently.
Additional components include a location reservation module to facilitate booking and management of accommodations such as lodges and camping sites, as well as a revenue management module that delivers real-time monitoring, analytics, and reporting on income generated. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency, elevate the visitor experience, and promote sustainable revenue generation to support conservation efforts.
