The State of North Carolina is seeking a qualified vendor to conduct comprehensive website accessibility improvement services for its external and internal digital platforms. The scope of work includes performing thorough accessibility audits of website pages, web applications, social media content, web forms, iframes and dashboards, documents, links, images, and buttons. These audits should identify all potential barriers that may hinder access for users with sensory, physical, cognitive, and other disabilities.
The vendor will provide detailed audit documentation, including lists of tested items, screenshots, pertinent links, website URLs, and required credentials or permissions. Testing must be performed using assistive technologies, such as screen readers and screen magnifiers, to ensure that modifications result in a highly usable and accessible digital experience for individuals with disabilities. In addition to auditing and testing, the successful vendor will support IT and web development teams by supplying accessibility guidance and customized development checklists. The contract for these services will span two years.
