DESCRIPTION
The government authority located in Ontario is seeking a vendor to provide web scraping services. The selected provider will collect online pricing data from businesses to support statistical and research initiatives. Vendors will collaborate with the Project Authority to define the specific variables to be collected from each website, including data formats and requirements.
The vendor is expected to establish a delivery schedule for structured data files and submit them in batches, as per a predetermined agreement. Scraping will occur weekly, monthly, or on an ad hoc basis, depending on evolving needs. Providers must maintain an up-to-date record layout for every transmitted data file and respond promptly to requests to cancel maintenance and billing for completed scrapes.
The contract will be awarded for a period of one year.
