The selected vendor will deliver a web-based SCADA integrator solution to modernize and optimize the utilities SCADA system. The goals include improving operational efficiency, reliability, and enabling secure remote access. The project involves migrating from the current SCADA platform to Inductive Automation's Ignition system or an equivalent, with upgrades to PLC programming, enhanced cellular communications, and unified data collection and reporting for all 22 lift stations.
The solution should consolidate operations on a centralized, modern SCADA platform, enhance standardization across all lift stations, and optimize data transmission using MQTT to reduce cellular costs. Key project components include enabling PID-level control at primary stations (PS1, PS2, PS3), implementing secure and redundant connectivity, designing custom HMIs for both mobile and desktop, and deploying Vision and Perspective modules for comprehensive access.
Additionally, the system must provide configurable alarm notifications (email/SMS), historical trending, detailed runtime and motor performance logging, level trends, and alarm history for improved management reporting. It also requires optimizing database indexing and archival methods to maintain low resource usage and efficient real-time dashboards.
