New York is seeking a qualified provider for a web-based hosted disaster recovery and backup solution to support its agency, component districts, and potential partnering districts. The required solution must enable comprehensive data protection and management, with functionalities accessible via both Android and iPhone mobile applications to facilitate on-the-go backup administration.
The selected vendor will supply dedicated storage capacity tailored to each district's needs, and ensure all services are managed through a centralized web-based platform. Key features must include automated and proactive problem detection and resolution, encrypted file and data transfers using 256-bit encryption or better, and point-in-time data restoration and versioning for Office 365 and Google Apps. The solution should also support backup of virtual machines to local devices, the cloud, or both, and protect open files and databases.
Additionally, the provider is expected to deliver a comprehensive package covering all necessary appliances, installation, configuration, training, and ongoing support. The initial contract term will be for one year.
