The Illinois government is seeking a vendor to provide a managed, web-based enterprise storage solution designed to integrate seamlessly with major cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The scope of this engagement includes delivering responsive, reliable, and cost-effective managed services and on-demand storage solutions for designated locations across the continental United States.

The comprehensive storage solution must encompass all necessary hardware, operating software, network management tools, technical services, and operational controls. Key requirements include robust security and data protection measures, supporting RESTful web services and APIs compatible with Amazon Simple Storage Service protocols, as well as multi-site data encoding and distribution to safeguard against data loss. User management must be facilitated through LDAP, Single Sign-On, and external authentication solutions, and multi-tenancy with self-management capabilities is essential.

Additional features include automated data tiering, optimization of disk usage, enterprise-level secure cloud storage with user-level file sync and sharing, integration with authentication sources like Active Directory, and support for a global file system. The solution should also provide disaster recovery for virtual machines (VMs) and VM snapshots, along with VM hypervisor API integration or an equivalent interface.
