The state of Massachusetts is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive web-based data collection and management system for public libraries. The system will support the acquisition, compilation, and dissemination of federal and state statistical data, enabling efficient data collection and reporting for public library operations.
The selected vendor will be responsible for hosting and maintaining the system, ensuring that agency staff can edit collected data, generate and customize reports, and manage the upload, download, and distribution of data as required. The platform must include robust data input options, such as text boxes, radio buttons, combo boxes, and dropdown selections, to facilitate various types of data entry. The ability for survey administrators to lock specific data fields is also required to maintain data integrity.
Additionally, the system should offer features for edit checks, report creation, and survey design, and must be capable of generating files in multiple formats, including PDF, HTML, and Microsoft Excel. The platform is expected to meet all requirements related to annual federal and state data collection by supporting various online input forms.
