DESCRIPTION

The City of Cambridge, Massachusetts seeks a vendor to provide a modern, web-based cemetery records management system. The solution should include conversion of existing cemetery records from Microsoft Access to the vendor’s platform and offer a robust public interface for locating graves within the cemetery. The system must host or be able to link to existing scanned records, enabling easy access to back-end cemetery records for staff as well as searchable capabilities for the public.

The database must contain location information to allow integration with a GIS database covering 30,000+ plots. Vendors are responsible for importing the city’s data into the new software and ensuring the public interface features a mapping tool to assist users in locating grave sites. The solution should link to scanned burial documents and allow updates for new documentation.
