SUMMARY

The City of California is soliciting proposals for a design-build team to improve wayfinding and entry monuments, including signage installation, relocation, and electrical service coordination.

DESCRIPTION

The City seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive wayfinding and entry monument improvement services. The scope includes final design, engineering, fabrication, installation, and construction for three new City entry monument signs, relocation of two existing public art monument signs, and installation of approximately fifty-eight new wayfinding signs. In addition, the project requires the removal of approximately eighty-two existing wayfinding signs.

The selected Design-Build Team will be responsible for performing field verification and determining sign locations, providing necessary surveying with horizontal and vertical control, and evaluating site-specific constraints such as visibility, access, geometry, constructability, drainage, utilities, and traffic considerations. The team will also coordinate all electrical service requirements for illuminated signage, including service upgrades, new connections, metering, and utility clearances.

Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by May 5, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 27, 2026.
