Water System Upgrade Service

A government authority in Carson, Nevada, is seeking qualified contractors to perform a one-year domestic water system upgrade project. The scope of services includes re-piping restroom hot water lines with increased pipe sizing to optimize delivery to showers, as well as the installation of balancing valves on recirculation circuits for improved temperature control and system performance. An expansion tank is also to be provided and installed to reduce piping stress and ensure adherence to current code requirements.

Additional work involves replacing recirculation components such as strainers and check valves within the custodial closet, as well as replacing existing shower cartridges and valves to effectively regulate water temperature and mitigate pressure drops from mineral buildup. Contractors will selectively demolish and restore select restroom wall sections to enable inspection and necessary repairs of vent piping, ensuring all seals and connections properly contain sewer gases. All impacted finishes, including tile, drywall, and ceilings, must be restored to original or better condition following construction.

The project also requires accurate as-built drawings documenting all modifications and installed equipment. All work must comply with applicable codes, and testing and coordination to confirm proper system functionality are essential.
