The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 4, is seeking a contractor to provide ongoing maintenance and support for the Clinical Information System (CIS) and Anesthesia Record Keeper (ARK) DataBridge licenses. This includes subscription maintenance for the DataBridge Suite Hospital Perpetual License software, ensuring 24/7 coverage such as bug fixes, minor release upgrades, and telephone support for seven VISN 4 medical centers and their associated outpatient clinics. The supported facilities include Altoona, Erie, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Lebanon, Wilmington, and Wilkes–Barre VA Medical Centers, along with their Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
DataBridge, a product developed by Document Storage Systems, Inc., provides a software interface enabling two-way data transfer between the VistA system and Clinical Information Systems, as well as one-way transfer to Analytics platforms. The interface manages critical patient data, including demographics, allergies, problem lists, care status, laboratory and medication orders, surgical information, and fulfills integration requirements for ARK, ICU, and data analytics applications. The DataBridge solution leverages HL7 messaging and specialized COM objects known as DSS VistA Gateway, supporting effective electronic documentation in critical care and anesthesiology environments.
This contract will cover a base year with four additional option years at the discretion of the agency. Vendors interested in this opportunity must demonstrate expertise with DataBridge solutions, government software licensing requirements, and relevant technical certifications.
