DESCRIPTION


This RFP seeks vendors to provide violence intervention and prevention neighborhood lead agencies services for the governmental authority in Boston, Massachusetts. The selected organization will develop, implement, and sustain neighborhood-based Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Initiatives utilizing a trauma-informed and healing-centered community building approach.

Key responsibilities include deepening resident engagement, increasing social cohesion, and mobilizing community members through regular monthly meetings. Lead agencies are expected to actively engage children and youth in positive activities and leadership roles, ensure equitable access to resources supporting physical and emotional wellness, and work to improve the physical environment to encourage social connections.
