DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in Kamloops, British Columbia is seeking a vendor to provide audit services for the Venture Capital Tax Credit Program. The selected supplier will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive written report along with several individual company-specific audit reports, which must clearly describe the findings and offer practical recommendations for mitigating significant business risks.

Responsibilities include developing a methodology for randomly selecting registrants for assessment using a risk-weighted approach based on the amount of equity capital raised, as well as formulating audit procedures to evaluate key compliance areas for each registrant. The vendor will be required to request and review registrant data from the Investment agency system and files, which may include application details, requests for additional equity capital, tax credit applications, annual returns, and supporting documents.

Additionally, the scope of work includes conducting at least five on-site audits, as determined by the agency, to test and validate the developed audit procedures. The deliverables include separate audit reports for each registrant, as well as an overall final summary report. The contract will cover a period of one year.
