The Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support is seeking information from qualified parties for a turnkey upgrade of a California Heating Equipment MODEL: 10' x 5' x 3' Solution Furnace/2092 Drop Bottom Furnace located at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, California. The scope of the upgrade includes extending quench and rinse tank rails, extending utility lines, supplying a stationary gantry stand rated for 4,000 pounds with two electric chain hoists, and installing a catwalk with an OSHA-compliant ladder to allow visual inspection of the tanks.
Additionally, the upgrade requires integration of a new Honeywell Minitrend Graphic Recorder with an additional SD card reader, upgraded limit switch components, and modifications to the furnace’s PLC programming controls. Full turnkey delivery is required—including IUID tagging, installation, shipping, offloading, rigging, comprehensive technical documentation, and training for operating personnel.
This announcement is intended for market research to identify potential sources capable of meeting these requirements. All work is to be conducted at the designated Naval Air Station in San Diego. Interested parties should demonstrate their relevant capabilities and resources as outlined.
