A government agency in Washington, DC is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver a comprehensive unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) solution focused on counter–UAS capabilities. The scope of work includes the design, integration, deployment, and ongoing technical sustainment of a system that enables the detection, identification, monitoring, and tracking (DIMT) of unmanned aerial vehicles within the flight restricted zone. The system must offer integrated decision support to enhance airspace situational awareness.
Key requirements for the solution include continuous tracking of detected targets, the ability to identify anomalies and spoofing in Remote ID data, and operator-visible confidence levels and uncertainty indicators for all tracks. The proposed system should provide versioned radio frequency (RF) library management with a fifteen-minute rollback feature and utilize open APIs to ensure data sharing and avoid proprietary lock-in. Acceptance of the system will depend on successful performance during a live operational demonstration and validated results from real-world deployments, rather than solely laboratory testing.
The selected solution will serve an advisory role, offering decision support only, with no enforcement capabilities or automated mitigation authority. Vendors with proven experience in deploying operational counter–UAS solutions are encouraged to submit proposals.
