DESCRIPTION
The government authority in West Nyack, New York is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive unemployment insurance (UI) representation and cost control services. The selected provider will deliver technical and consultative support, training sessions, and information on unemployment insurance and related labor or personnel matters. Services will also include an annual review of the agency's staff handbook to ensure compliance with applicable UI laws and to minimize the risk of unvalidated claims, with recommendations for necessary updates.
Additionally, the vendor will assist with claims processing, including guidance on preparing responses, reviewing all determinations, and protesting contestable decisions. Representation at unemployment insurance administrative hearings will also be required, covering case preparation, participation in hearings, appeals, and submission of arguments.
