DESCRIPTION

A strategic planning service is required to guide the future development of the transportation network in a British Columbia municipality. The selected vendor will be responsible for creating a comprehensive transportation strategic plan that offers direction to staff and addresses future needs.

Key components of the project include updating road classifications to accommodate projected growth, prioritizing areas for active transportation, street parking, and street trees, and supplying guidelines for updated infrastructure standards with new cross-sections for various road types. The plan will also address the anticipated evolution of transportation modalities, such as e-mobility, and establish a condition and risk-based framework for prioritization. Additional responsibilities include integrating recommendations with the Waterworth AM model, providing corridor-based bundled renewal strategies, conducting climate-driven drainage vulnerability analysis, and producing a transportation-drainage conflict map.

This opportunity is ideal for firms with demonstrated expertise in strategic transportation planning, infrastructure standards, and climate resilience.
