DESCRIPTION


A government authority in North Carolina seeks a vendor to conduct a feasibility study for the land trail segment of the Deep River State Trail corridor within the county. The selected consultant will deliver data-driven recommendations plotting the rationale for selected development corridors, devise realistic strategies for implementation, and prioritize strategies for building out trail infrastructure in a cost-effective manner.

The consultant will be responsible for facilitating meetings by scheduling, engaging participants, preparing agendas and summaries, and ensuring meetings contribute significantly to the advancement of the study. Additional responsibilities include collecting relevant GIS and other data from Chatham County, the Steering Committee, and other stakeholders. The study will consider topographical, natural heritage, land use, historical, and cultural features. Community outreach and educational engagement efforts will ensure that the trail is planned and developed to be accessible and equitable.
