DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Massachusetts seeks a vendor to support the Traffic Safety Information System Improvements Grant Program. The services required include the development or enhancement of software or applications for identifying, collecting, and reporting traffic safety data to State and local agencies. This will involve integration with State core highway safety databases, such as those related to crash, citation or adjudication, driver, emergency medical services, injury surveillance, roadway, and vehicle data.

Vendors should improve the compatibility and interoperability of the State's highway safety databases with both national data systems and those of other states, including the National EMS Information System. The selected partner will also support traffic records improvement training for professionals in law enforcement, emergency medical services, the judiciary, prosecution, and traffic records management. Additional tasks include research and program development focused on enhancing data identification, collection, and reporting processes within traffic safety information systems.
