The government authority in Kingston, New York seeks a qualified vendor to develop comprehensive traffic safety action plan services. The consultant will be responsible for all aspects of project management, including producing a detailed scope and schedule, documenting project kick-off and formation, preparing public meeting presentations, summarizing interactions with stakeholders and elected officials, and providing regular progress updates.
The consultant will conduct an in-depth review and analysis of existing transportation-related plans, policies, and guidelines within the county to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancing traffic safety. Tasks include organizing pertinent documents and extracting actionable information to inform policy improvements.
Data collection will require the creation of a geodatabase capturing crash location and severity data, as well as roadway characteristics. The consultant will also produce a summary highlighting the top 25 high-priority locations of concern across the county. Additionally, thorough data analysis will be essential to identify areas of heightened risk based on the compiled crash and roadway information.
