The Town of Nantucket, Massachusetts is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive irrigation services across fourteen municipal locations, including beaches, parks, fields, and rotaries. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform seasonal irrigation system maintenance.
Services required include spring start-up with activation and adjustment of irrigation systems, mid-season timer adjustments on non-Hydra Wise clocks between June and August, a full system check in July, and fall winterization procedures such as system shutdown, blowouts, and draining of backflow prevention devices where needed. Additionally, the contractor must offer 24/7 on-call support for urgent irrigation issues with a requirement to complete repairs within 48 hours.
Pricing should be structured with a fixed rate for the first hour of service, an additional hourly rate thereafter, and parts billed at cost plus a fixed markup. The contract period is set for three years.
