A government authority in Missouri is seeking a qualified vendor to provide tourism management services for a convention complex. The primary objectives include identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance complex revenue, while ensuring continued competitiveness with other convention venues in attracting and retaining conventions, trade shows, and meetings.
The scope of work encompasses strategies such as advertising, public relations, direct marketing, direct sales, and promotional and cooperative opportunities. This includes participation in trade shows, sales forums, and the creation of a comprehensive marketing calendar detailing the implementation of these strategies on a monthly basis. The selected vendor will also be responsible for managing or arranging services necessary for the efficient operation of the convention center, such as data, telecommunication, internet services, audio visual equipment rentals, production support, rigging, landscaping, and groundskeeping.
Additionally, the vendor will maintain a community relations plan that encourages stakeholder involvement, and will be tasked with building and implementing financial reporting systems, cash management plans, and event settlement mechanisms. The contract is for a one-year period.
