DESCRIPTION


The government authority in Chilliwack, British Columbia is seeking a consultant to provide design consulting services for building and maintenance shop upgrades to ensure move-in readiness. The selected vendor will conduct a thorough site assessment that includes a topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, environmental site assessment (Phase I/II as needed), hazardous materials review, utility coordination, and a comprehensive code compliance review. This work supports full yard paving and surfacing to facilitate heavy vehicle movement, parking, and adequate drainage.

Additionally, the consultant will develop detailed design drawings (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape), technical specifications, and Class B cost estimates. Scope includes outbuildings such as a new service and fuel island, which must cover all civil works, underground utilities, fuel dispensing equipment, spill containment, fire suppression, and environmental monitoring systems. The project also includes design for an automated bus wash facility, covering structure, equipment integration, water recycling/treatment, chemical storage, and compliance with all municipal and provincial regulations. Mandatory site visit and question deadlines are specified, and the contract will span two years.
