DESCRIPTION


The agency is seeking a vendor to provide third-party administrator (TPA) services for its long-term disability (LTD) plan, serving active plan participants and other eligible public employees in Kansas. Responsibilities include administration of long-term disability and group life waiver of premium coverage, processing life claim payments, and handling both non-work-related and work-related claims for full-time and part-time employees affiliated with the agency.

Additionally, the selected vendor will provide medical consulting and advise-to-pay services in relation to these disability programs. The retirement system also oversees disability benefits under the police and fire retirement system and the retirement system for judges, and the awarded vendor is expected to offer medical consulting and advise-to-pay services for these as well.
